Mahaganapathy:

Lord Ganapathy is a powerful god known for his love and giving towards his devotees.Lord Ganapathy is known in many names such as Ganesha,Vinayagar,Pillaiyar etc.Lord Ganapathy is a god who confers success and highest wisdom to his devotees.So that he is called as Siddi and Buddi.Lord Ganapathy is the remover of all obstacles.All over the world Lord Ganapathy is worshiped by his devotees from the ancient times.Mahaganapathy temple found in Edmonton is also a symbol of devotion towards Lord Ganapathy.The other deities gracing here are Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati,Lord Murugan with his consorts Valli and Deivanai,Bairavar and Sandeswarar.

Temple's pujas and festivals:

Usual abishegam and aaradhana are performed in the morning and evening.Abishegam is offered from 
8 -8:45 am and 5:30 - 6:15pm.Archana are made to the main deity Lord Ganapathy and also to the other deities gracing here.End of the arathi the archana is performed.Special pujas are performed during Navarathri,Skanda Shashti,Vinayagar Viratham,Thiruvembavai,Shivarathri,Vinayagar Chathurthi,Aadi pooram,Somavaram,Vaikasi Visagam,Pradhosham and both Tamil & English newyear.Santhana Kaappu is performed for Lord Ganesh and other deities.Seemantha pooja as blessing for good child birth,Vahana pooja and Sumangali puja are observed in this temple.

Vasantha mandapam:

On festival days replica if main deity is decorated well with silk clothes,ornaments and flowers and taken our on chariots and special pujas are offered in a place called Vasantha mandapam.Deities in Vasantha mandapam includes Lord Ganesha,Lord   Shiva & Mother Parvati,Lord Murugan with his consorts,Goddess Rajarajeshwari,Lord Palaniyandavar,Asthirathevar and Sandeswarar.
